No matter what the outcome of the Governors race yields VA artists need to get together with the winner.

Now that States like California, Louisiana, Tennessee, Texas, have all come out and are implementing plans to use music to be a major booster to their economies it's time for Virginia to get into the game too. There are plenty of other blogs out there breaking down the numbers like this one which is about how the whole GDP of American when up because of MUSIC.

So think about it…. From the colleges to Tech hubs and resorts across the Common Wealth of Virginia the one common bond is a MUSIC.  And for just kicks look at the opening entry on Music of Virginia Wiki page ` says it all.
One of Virginia's most famous musical contributions is the country singer Patsy Cline. Several towns claim her as their own, including Gore and Winchester. Winchester is home to several Patsy Cline attractions, including a driving tour published by the local Chamber of Commerce, and the Kurtz Cultural Center/Old Town Visitor's Center, which shows various Cline memorabilia.[1]
Jim & Jesse McReynolds and the Virginia Boys, Ralph StanleyHobart SmithThe Statler Brothers, and The Carter Family are award winning bluegrass and country music musicians from Virginia. Ella Fitzgerald and Pearl Baileywere both from Newport NewsHip hop and rhythm and blues acts like Missy ElliottTimbalandThe Neptunes, and Clipse hail from the commonwealth. The Neptunes produced 43% of all songs on American radio in 2003.[2]Singer-songwriters from Virginia include Jason Mraz and jam bands like the Pat McGee Band and Dave Matthews Band, who continue their strong charitable connection to Charlottesville, Virginia.[3] Influential stage-rock groupGWAR as well as heavy metal group Lamb of God began at Virginia Commonwealth University. Alternative Rock group Seven Mary Three formed at The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg.
So how are they going to do this,  It will take the next governor becoming the spokesperson for VA Made Music. When the trade balanced is opened up and census data is revolved it will show that Virginia has been exporting less music yet the roster of Grammy winner artists is growing and so is the worlds populations.  The question is why aren't they and the rest of the USA not consuming more Virginia Made Music and US Made Music.  We look forward to helping this conversation move forward --whomever wins the race.
